As part of the University’s centennial celebration, the Library’s Special Collections is displaying an assortment of student publications on the sixth floor of the Library through the summer. The variety of publications at the Texas College of Mines, Texas Western College, and the University of Texas at El Paso shows the range of student interests. The publications vary from technical and scholarly to informal and satirical. Besides the yearbook, known as Flowsheet, the exhibit shows the student newspaper, The Prospector, student magazines like El Burro and El Minero, literary magazines like Rio Grande Review, Rutas, and Capirotada, and several small and short-lived publications. The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular Special Collections hours.
