Series
I. General Correspondence
Arranged
in four subseries—Incoming Correspondence, Outgoing Correspondence, Other General
Correspondence, and Invitations and Announcements. Each subseries is arranged
chronologically.
Series
II. Civic/Religious Organizations
and Activities
Arranged
in twenty subseries—Incoming Correspondence, Outgoing Correspondence, Other
Correspondence, National Catholic Welfare Conference Material, Texas Relief
Commission, El Paso County Relief Board, Mexican and American Immigration Convention,
Las Sociedades Latino Americanas, Color Classification of Mexicans, American
Academy of Achievement, Knights of Columbus, Other Fraternal Organizations,
Veterans’ Groups, Other Religious Organizations and Activities, Charitable Organizations,
Youth Projects, Schools and Education, Historical Societies, Museums and Libraries,

and Other Materials. Material in each subseries is filed by topic or subject,
and then chronologically.

filed chronologically.

Arranged
in twelve subseries—Incoming Correspondence, Outgoing Correspondence, Railroads,
U.S. Army, WWI, Correspondence, Notary Public and Public Accountant Material,
Calleros’ Personal Finances, Insurance Material, Banks and Financial Institutions,
Various Receipts, Other Business-Related Material, Business Clients, and Client
Tax Returns. The subseries are filed by topic or subject, and then chronologically,
except for Clients subseries that are filed alphabetically and then chronologically.

Arranged
in twelve subseries—Incoming Correspondence, Outgoing Correspondence, Other
Literary Correspondence, Published Works—Books, Newspaper Articles by Calleros,
Other Works by Calleros, Speeches and Addresses, Proofs and Drafts, Book Production
and Promotion, Reviews and Critiques, Other Literary Endeavors, and Historical
Research. Correspondence subseries are filed chronologically, and the other
subseries are filed alphabetically by topic or subject.

Arranged
in four subseries—Travel Memorabilia, Diplomas and Awards, Other Personal and
Biographical Material, and Scrapbooks. Subseries are filed by topic or subject,
and then chronologically.

VII. Photographs and Other
Works of Art
Arranged
in fifteen subseries—Banquets and Receptions, Historical, Other Civic Events,
Churches and Clergy, Mt. Cristo Rey Construction, Tigua Indians and Ysleta Mission,
Literary Endeavors and Book Presentations, Artistic, Maps, Documents, and Drawings,
Calleros’ Personal Photographs, Slides, Notes and Correspondence Relating to
Photographic Descriptions, Postcards, Photograph Albums, and Negatives. Photographs
are filed by subject and date, and then numbered chronologically in each folder.
The numbers of Negatives are matched to the corresponding photographic print,
if available. Negatives without matching prints are scanned, and paper prints
of those negatives are filed with the photographs.

Arranged
in ten subseries—Books, Newspapers, Newsletters, Mexican American and Chicano
Periodicals and Journals, Other Periodicals and Journals, Publications About
El Paso, Juárez, and Southwest, Government Publications, Religious Publications,
Other Mexican American and Chicano Publications, and Other General Publications.
Each subseries is filed by type of publication, by title, and then by date.
