The UTEP Retrieval Service provides UTEP Faculty a convenient way to obtain library owned materials. Books will be pulled from the stacks and held at Circulation for pickup. Journals will be retrieved from the stacks and articles photocopied as requested. Articles can be picked up in the Interlibrary Loan Department (ILL). Books will be retrieved at no cost and articles will be photocopied at 15 cents per page. Journals will not be pulled or held.

Books or articles requested through this services will have been identified as being UTEP holdings by the requestor, before initiating an official request.

Requests:
Requests for this service can be made electronically (books / journals) or by paper (available in the ILL office).
Procedures:
Staff from Circulation will search, retrieve, and hold books for Faculty to pick up. Notification of availability to Faculty will be made by phone, e-mail, or mail.
Staff from ILL/Document Delivery will search, retrieve, copy and hold articles copied from journals found in the UTEP collection.
Fee Structure:
Retrieval of books will be provided at no cost to the requestor.
Articles will be copied at $.15 per page. Requests will be limited to 5 per week, whether books, articles or a combination of both.
Payment for services will be due at the time of pick-up or bills can be mailed out. Failure to pay for services will result in fines being entered into the library's patron file.
