Library Information Resource Services (LIRS)
Access:
We maintain the systems which make access to the library's electronic resources possible. Students, faculty, and staff of UTEP, with internet access, are able to access these resources whether within the library itself or remotely from offices and homes. Selection and usage of these products are the responsibility of the Electronic Resources Librarian and the Electronic Resources Committee.
If you cannot access a specific electronic resource, or have trouble using it, please call the reference desk at 747-5643, or Lisa Borden, the Electronic Resources Librarian, at 747-6709. Lisa may also be reached via email at lmborden@utep.edu.
Library computers:
All staff and public computers are setup in accordance with the library’s standard configurations. The library systems staff will troubleshoot computer problems whether they involve the library / campus infrastructure, wireless system or hardware and software difficulties.
If you have a problem with a library computer please contact 747-6712 or oquezada1@utep.edu.
Wireless Access:
The UTEP IT department is responsible for wireless access throughout the university campus. They provide instructions for configuring laptops and other computers for wireless access.
