UTEP librarians attend the International Sun conference on Teaching and Learning held at the Union Building on Feb. 28th and Mar. 1st, 2013. The conference is organized by CETaL, Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning; the theme this year was “Context Matters” and invited keynote speakers Dr. Marsha Lovett, Director of the Eberly Center for Teaching Excellence, Carnegie Mellon University, and Dr. Richard Pineda, Associate Professor of Communication at UTEP. Faculty members, librarians, and students attended a wide variety of special sessions, roundtable discussions, and poster presentations ranging from how to manage work/life demands in academia to the discussion of teaching strategies catered to international students.
