NMSU / UTEP Library Meeting -- January 2013
Members of the UTEP Library Reference and Technical Services departments met with NMSU Library staff to discuss future collaboration on government document collections and joint trainings on current cataloging standards. The meeting was organized as a result of NMSU Library’s uncertain status as a depository library and the elimination of the Texas State Depository Program. Both the UTEP Library and the NMSU Library may come together to strengthen certain subject areas in government documents, such as NMSU’s strong agricultural focus and UTEP’s border studies and engineering areas. Both libraries are located with such proximity that collaboration is attainable and will ultimately be in the best interest of our patrons. Here at the UTEP Library, we are moving forward to fulfill our mission to provide innovative and high quality services and resources to our users!
